ERIKA SAFRAN, CFP ® Principal

Erika Safran is founder of Safran Wealth Advisors. She has more than 30 years of experience providing high net worth individuals and families with comprehensive financial planning services. Erika understands the collaborative relationship required to help clients realize their dreams and make smart financial decisions. 

Erika has shared financial advice as a guest on CNBC, CNN, NY1, BBC News, The Early Show on CBS, and That Money Show on PBS. Erika has also been featured as a financial expert in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, CNN Money Watch, US News & World Report, Investment Advisor, Business Week, Money, Reuters, USA Today, and more.

Erika has contributed her financial expertise to financial and investment case studies published in Financial Planning Magazine, Newsday, Physician’s Personal Advisory, Advance for Nurse Practitioners Magazine, and Doctor’s Digest. She was recognized as a leading adviser in Medical Economics and included in their annual list of Best Financial Advisers for Doctors.

A financial literacy advocate, she has lectured at The 92nd Street Y, AARP & The New York Public Business Library. Erika is an adjunct faculty member for Baruch College’s CFP® program, and is a former adjunct at NYU. As a volunteer in HSBC’s “Financial Backpack” program, she provides financial education to high school and college students.

Erika is a member of the Financial Planning Association of New York, serving as Director of Education. She is a former Vice President of the NY Chapter of The American Woman’s Society of Certified Public Accountants. She is a current member of the Financial Women’s Association of NY.

fRANK BONANNI, Paraplanner

Frank Bonanni is Safran Wealth Advisors’ Client Service Associate with the primary role of serving our clients administrative needs. Frank helps clients open new accounts, processes fund transfers, and prepares data for our financial planning processes.

Frank began his career as a risk analyst and corporate trainer at TD Waterhouse, and afterwards, he lead the new hire training program for Quick & Reilly, which became Bank of America Investments through a merger/buyout.

There, he developed and managed the sales and systems training for financial advisor new hires and continuing education for the existing salesforce. He was soon promoted to the role of Northeastern Relationship Manager where his primary responsibility was to act as a mediator and liaison between front and back office and vendors.

Frank values the personal approach Safran Wealth Advisors brings to the wealth management and enjoys helping our clients through the process.

He enjoys his children, yoga, traveling, literature and film, and is a bit of a foodie.
